Fleet Finance Sponsored by Fleet Finance News FleetCheck and VDO launch integration to centralise fleet compliance data Published: 8th May 2025 Share A new integration between fleet management software provider FleetCheck and tachograph specialist VDO promises to revolutionise compliance management by bringing all key data together “in one place” for UK fleets. The integration adds a VDO-specific drop-down menu within FleetCheck’s core commercial vehicle platform, enabling tachograph data to be accessed directly alongside essential records such as vehicle maintenance, walkaround checks, and driver hours – using a single login. Stuart West, Product and Business Development Manager at VDO UK, said: “It’s not just a simple data import but means that using a single login, all your compliance information is available in one place – both gathered through our tachographs and FleetCheck’s software covering areas such as walkaround checks. “It’ll deliver, for example, a seamless and simplified approach to Driver Hours compliance, with a reduced administrative burden and enhanced overall fleet performance, as well as making qualification for Earned Recognition much simpler.” The move follows over a year of collaboration between the two companies after announcing a strategic partnership. According to West, the integration reflects a shared cultural commitment to developing solutions that go beyond compliance checklists and promote a proactive safety culture. Peter Golding, Managing Director at FleetCheck, described the integration as a strategic milestone. “VDO is the tachograph provider of choice for many of our customers and this integration will provide important advantages when it comes to safety and ease of use. “FleetCheck and VDO shared a stand at the recent Commercial Vehicle Show and the reception to the integrated version of the software from fleets was very positive. The benefits are obvious and we expect take-up to be high. “The partnership represents a significant step forward in compliance that maximises the capabilities of our software and VDO’s tachograph technology.” Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Kemble, Gloucestershire, FleetCheck supports over 2,000 customers managing 260,000+ vehicles and assets across the UK. VDO, founded in 1929 and based in Germany, serves more than 20,000 customers with over 200,000 tachograph-equipped vehicles across Europe.
