Lightfoot partners with Drax to accelerate fleet electrification

Share

Lightfoot has joined forces with Drax Electric Vehicles in a new partnership aimed at accelerating the electrification of commercial fleets across the UK. The collaboration combines Lightfoot’s telematics and driver coaching technology with Drax’s end-to-end electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure solutions, delivering a comprehensive, data-driven approach to fleet transition.

The new integration allows fleet and facilities managers to access deeper insights into vehicle usage and operational patterns via the Drax My Electric Vehicles portal, enhanced by Lightfoot’s real-time analytics and in-cab coaching. This smarter synergy offers businesses a powerful way to plan and execute their move to electric mobility with confidence and clarity.

“Now, by integrating Lightfoot’s advanced fleet management solution with our My Electric Vehicles portal, we’re broadening the ways we provide telematics insight to fleet and facilities managers,” said Naomi Nye, Head of Sales at Drax Electric Vehicles.

Drax customers can now use Lightfoot devices in their existing internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to collect valuable journey data, such as mileage, dwell time, and driving habits. This information feeds into planning tools that evaluate EV suitability and guide optimal infrastructure placement.

The partnership also boosts the capabilities of Lightfoot’s own EValuation platform, a free tool that helps fleet operators identify which vehicles are ready for electrification now and where further analysis is needed.

“We don’t just provide data; we provide solutions,” said Paul Hollick, CEO at Lightfoot. “Our partnership with Drax means customers can electrify with complete confidence.”
