In response to an increasing demand for competitive motor finance packages, and to bring a renewed focus to broker relationships in the motor finance sector, Raphaels Finance has appointed Patrick Charlton as national sales manager.

Charlton has over 30 years’ industry experience, including 11 years at GE Woodchester and more recently with Cardif Pinnacle where he spent nearly 15 years developing and driving broker line propositions.

He brings much expertise and knowledge of the finance and insurance sectors to Raphaels, and will focus on nurturing the existing network of brokers across the country as well as developing new business opportunities.

A core element of Charlton’s role will be to work with broker technology providers to ensure ease of access to Raphaels’ motor finance solutions. These will also provide a gateway to widen the network of brokers with whom Raphaels operates.

Carl Virgo, head of lending at Raphaels Bank said:  “Patrick brings considerable industry knowledge and expertise to this important new role.  He understands that brokers need fast decisions based on personalised rather than automated assessments, along with a flexible, high-quality sales orientated service.

“These are the cornerstones of our proposition and Patrick will play a pivotal role in extending awareness of our offering, supporting our growth ambitions”.

In October 2015 Raphaels Bank formally rebranded its lending division to Raphaels Finance.
