He will report to Jean Pierre Mustier, UniCredit Group CEO and his role will include assisting in defining, developing and implementing the Group’s strategy. Maffezzoni, who has been with UniCredit since 1998 in a variety of roles within the Group and is currently head of business development and strategic partnerships. Mustier said: “[His] contributions to the implementation of the capital strengthening measures of the strategic plan were very valuable.
