Ultimate Finance expands team to strengthen regional presence

Specialist asset-based lender Ultimate Finance has reinforced its team with key appointments across the business.

The company has welcomed four new Regional Sales Directors and a Client Relationship Manager, each bringing extensive industry expertise and a relationship-driven approach.

The Southern and Midlands sales team has been bolstered by the addition of David Moran and Steve Armstrong. David Moran, a well-recognised figure in the asset-based lending sector, brings an impressive track record to the team.

Commenting on his appointment, David said, “I am thrilled to have joined the team and have been impressed by how innovative and dynamic they are.

“I am looking forward to contributing to the continued growth by using my network of advisors to provide asset-based lending to SMEs across the South East,” he added.

Steve Armstrong, who will be responsible for expanding Ultimate Finance’s presence in the Midlands, brings over 23 years of experience in the industry.

Speaking about his new role, Steve said, “I’m excited to be joining Ultimate Finance at such a pivotal time in their growth.

“Having spent the last five years predominantly supporting businesses with mergers, acquisitions, and growth transactions, I can utilise their tailored funding solutions to give SMEs even greater access to the liquidity they need.”

The Northern sales team has also been strengthened with the appointment of Sean Thomson and Richard Leathley. Both professionals have over 20 years of experience and have held senior positions in their previous roles.

Sean commented, “Ultimate Finance is extremely forward-thinking in their breadth of proposition, and I am excited about presenting their flexible funding to my network of valued introducers.”

Richard added, “I have joined a fantastic business with a genuine one-team approach to delivering funding solutions.

In addition to expanding its sales team, Ultimate Finance has reinforced its client relationship management function with the appointment of Gavin Mories as Relationship Manager for Scotland. His role will focus on providing a personalised service to the company’s growing client base in the region.

Ultimate Finance has demonstrated consistent growth, with new business increasing by 11% compared to 2023 and its loan book reaching a milestone of £342 million in 2024. The expansion of its team will enable the company to further extend its regional reach and continue delivering expert financial support to businesses across the UK.
