Our client a global company for whom we have recruited since 2001 and placed a large number of staff not only across the whole of the UK and as recently as November 24 but also in Spain , Belgium and worked on roles in Russia are seeking an additional Territory Manager to take over the responsibilities of a person we placed several years ago who has recently been promoted.

The focus of this position is on the financing of HGV’s , your route to the customer is via a network of dealers with whom you will be expected to build upon the strong foundations you will inherit.

You will be judged on a combination of volume , margin , additional income and in particular finance penetration levels.

You can expect to engage daily with dealer sales staff, sales managers and tactically also with dealer principals and crucially their customers.

To succeed in this role you need a broad range of skills encompassing everything from encouraging dealer sales staff to use finance early and pro-actively , the ability to sit with a customer whether this be an owner operator or the head of fleet for a major logistics company to structuring a deal where aspects may involving pricing , documentation , credit.

Internally you can expect to work closely with credit, operations , asset management , pricing and occasionally even collections.

You will need strong communications skills that span from helping a dealer salesperson who has perhaps not used finance before to presenting to the CFO of large corporate why our clients offering is a better solution than say taking their banks offering.

Candidate Profile

To apply for this position you must have an external sales background in the mid ticket asset finance sector.

Strong preference will be given to those who have commercial vehicle finance experience and that of HGV’s in particular.

Knowledge of finance lease, HP, and Operating Lease is a given for this role as is an understanding of full service Contract Hire.

Please note we are not seeking applications from those whose experience is of retail car finance whether new or second hand.

If you are working today for a captive HGV financier , a bank owned asset financier or a leading lease broker with a focus on HGV financing we would be pleased to hear from you.

From a location standpoint we seek applications from those who live in the South East or Southern East Anglia and to fulfil the role you must be willing to travel extensively across your sales area and to occasionally travel to our clients UK Head Office.
