Technology Sofico expands regional office strategy with launch in Germany Published: 6th March 2018 Share Global automotive software provider Sofico has launched a new German subsidiary. Sofico Services Germany will focus on expanding the national customer base for the company as part of its strategy of establishing a local presence in key markets. The move follows other regional openings throughout the world, including a new office established last year in the Netherlands, near the town of Utrecht, with Sofico saying it plans more European offices in future. Sofico also opened offices in Mexico last September in Puebla, southeast of Mexico City, to provide the hub from which its customers throughout the Central and South America region can be serviced more effectively, while there are also regional hubs in Tokyo, Japan and Sydney, Australia. The offices are part of global expansion plans that have grown the company’s client list to more than 40 customers in 22 countries. Sofico was founded in 1998 in Ghent, Belgium and provides software solutions for leasing and fleet management companies, with its Miles platform currently managing more than 1.5 million vehicles globally. Managing director Gémar Hompes said: “We are delighted to be opening a dedicated office in Germany via a local subsidiary. The establishment of local offices helps us stay close to our customers and helps us in attracting new staff with knowledge of the local market and local languages. “As a next step, we will intensify our efforts in hiring local staff to establish a full multi-disciplinary team in Germany, with a mix of profiles from project manager to support consultant. “Future implementation projects in Germany will then be managed by the Sofico Services Germany team with support from staff at our headquarters in Belgium.” Asset Finance Connect Asset Finance Connect brings you news and updates about UK and European auto, equipment and asset finance providers.
