Appointments New CEO for Volkswagen Argentina Published: 9th August 2019 Share Volkswagen has made a series of changes to its senior sales management team in Latin America and in Germany. Thomas Owsianski, currently president of Audi China, has been named chief executive officer of Volkswagen Argentina, replacing Thomas Zahn, who has become head of sales international. Zahn’s appointment follows former head of sales international Achim Schaible’s move to head of aftersales and dealer network at Volkswagen, effective from 1 September. He, in turn, succeeds Peter Maiwald, who retired on June1 . Owsianski’s previous roles have included head of marketing at Skoda, executive director of Skoda in Shanghai and vice president of sales and marketing at VW Brazil. Zahn has previously held roles including head of sales at FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun and SAIC-Volkswagen in Shanghai, as well as head of sales and marketing in Germany. Schaible was formerly managing director of Volkswagen Group Polska, before which he held several senior posts at Renault and General Motors.
