Matthew Hattersley joins Mercedes-Benz as new head of fleets

Mercedes-Benz has announced the appointment of Matthew Hattersley as the new head of fleets for its UK cars division.

Hattersley, who brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Volkswagen Group, officially steps into the role following the departure of Tom Brennan in October 2023.

Hattersley’s move to Mercedes-Benz marks a significant milestone in his career, which has been distinguished by key roles within the automotive industry.

He served as the National Fleet Sales Manager at Škoda for five years, where he was instrumental in driving fleet sales growth. His success at Škoda led to a similar role at Volkswagen, where his impact was felt across the company’s fleet operations.

In January 2023, Hattersley was promoted to Direct Sales Manager at Volkswagen, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the fleet sales sector.
