Appointments David Brennan to lead Nexus Vehicle Management Published: 12th May 2014 Share David Brennan has joined Nexus Vehicle Management as chief executive officer, having announced that he was stepping down as managing director of LeasePlan UK at the end of April. Yorkshire-based Nexus said that Brennan will lead the company with a focus ‘on growing the business through increasing customer satisfaction and improving operational efficiency’. Commenting on his appointment, Brennan said: “The future of Nexus looks very strong. Nexus has evolved greatly since the MBO/MBI in 2008 and has become the leading provider of vehicle rental management for businesses in the UK. I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead Nexus and look forward to working with the team to broaden our service offering, to deliver future growth and drive performance and service to new heights.” Nexus Vehicle Management, which was set up in 2000, was acquired by ISIS Equity Partners in an £11m deal in February 2008 and is now a leading UK provider of corporate vehicle rental supply. Through its subsidiary Adapted Vehicle Hire it is the UK’s leading provider of adapted and wheelchair accessible vehicles for disabled drivers and their carers. The company also supplies specialists rental and fleet management software applications, including its Intelligent Rental Information System (IRIS) which is, the company claims, the most widely used rental management system in the UK, with access to 150 different suppliers and more than 400,000 vehicles. Headquartered in Leeds, Nexus Vehicle Management has over 100 employees across the UK. Brennan oversaw substantial growth at LeasePlan UK during his eight years with the company which currently has a UK fleet of 135,000 vehicles, the largest it has ever managed. Under Brennan’s leadership, LeasePlan UK notched up a number of prestigious industry award wins, including the Fleet News Award for Customer Service, Green Fleet’s Leasing Company of the Year for two consecutive years and the organisation has also been one of Britain’s Top 50 Employers for the last three years.
