BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK has appointed Alexandre Marie as Head of Motor. This leadership change comes during a period of rapid growth and innovation for the company’s motor finance division, which has recently expanded into new markets and forged key partnerships, including with OMODA and JAECOO UK.

Originally from Normandy, France, Alexandre brings over 17 years of experience within BNP Paribas, having held various finance, operations, and leadership roles across diverse regions such as Réunion, the Caribbean, and Central Europe. His extensive experience, combined with his tenure at Peugeot, equips him with the strategic insight needed to lead and expand BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK’s motor finance services.

Alexandre steps into his new role at a time when the motor finance team is riding the wave of a remarkable year, marked by the company’s expansion into the leisure market and new strategic partnerships. Under his leadership, the team has already achieved a major milestone by onboarding 40 dealerships within just six weeks, with plans to reach 100 by the end of 2024.

Outlining his vision for the motor division, Alexandre said, “As Head of Motor, my focus is on harnessing new opportunities and transforming our operations to meet ambitious goals. Our strategic partnerships and innovative solutions are central to shaping the future of our motor division.”

His vision for the future of the motor division includes a strong focus on innovation and staying ahead of industry trends, particularly in response to the growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and the shifting dynamics of distribution through original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

“The motor industry is rapidly evolving,” Alexandre noted. “Our strategy is designed to ensure we stay ahead of these challenges. By deepening our OEM relationships, integrating cutting-edge technology, and focusing on the used car market, we aim to set new benchmarks in motor finance.”

A significant part of Alexandre’s approach involves creating a unified team environment across various functions, including IT and finance, to deliver exceptional results and drive growth. “I am committed to fostering a one-team mindset internally, where everyone works together to deliver a seamless solution to our customers,” he added.

Andrew Brameld, Chief Commercial Officer at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, expressed his enthusiasm for Alexandre’s appointment, stating:

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Alexandre to the BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK Mobility team. Alexandre joins us at an incredibly exciting time for the business, and he will bring his wealth of experience, contacts, and expertise to lead our Motor business forward.”
