Auto and asset finance companies can nominate young professionals from their organisations to attend the conference session to network with their peers, whilst learning about the industry from auto, asset and equipment finance industry leaders. Details of how to apply for tickets, which are available at the discounted rate of £120 + VAT, are at the bottom of the article. Edward Peck, CEO of Asset Finance Connect commented, “Asset Finance Connect’s next generation workshop continues to shine a spotlight on the industry’s young professionals who will help to shape the future of the asset finance sector. As an industry we must encourage, develop and retain this emerging talent. This session will allow the participants to gain exposure to businesses outside their own organisation, while sharing their own thoughts, experiences and challenges on issues affecting their career and future development with their peers whilst gaining insight from a diverse range of industry representatives.” CA Auto Bank’s Marcella Merli, one of the world’s leading auto finance thought leaders, will be the keynote speaker, presenting to the next gen community at the AFC workshop. She will be developing the people themes which were touched on in the November 2022 AFC webcast, focusing on diversity and inclusion in the industry. As a working mother and a senior leadership figure in the industry, Marcella will discuss the role of women in financial services, as well as looking at the importance of a diverse workforce and attracting diverse talent to the industry. Next gen delegates, including the 30 under 30 winners announced at the conference, will then be invited to join roundtables to network and engage in insightful discussion with their peers including: D&I, impact of Covid, owning your own career progression, balancing work and personal life, impact of a career break and balancing it with career ambitions. Industry professionals from the Leasing Foundation community and past 30 under 30 cohorts will act as moderators, providing added insight on the topics. Nathan Mollett, chair of the Leasing Foundation said: “It’s great to be partnering with Asset Finance Connect again to deliver another next generation workshop at the AFC autumn conference. These events give the next generation of talent a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with each other and think about how they can influence the future of our industry and be a force for good. The Leasing Foundation and AFC remain completely committed to facilitating this.” Tickets will be available to our young professionals for the AFC Autumn Conference and exclusive access to the Next Generation Workshop at the special rate of £120 plus VAT.
