Realistic year 1 earnings for a strong performer c£80,000 , year 2 £100,000 year 3 £120,000 + . All usual large company benefits are provided including a company car or car allowance , life and health cover and a generous pension of 10% of salary contribution by them. Our client a leading asset financier for whom we have recruited for the group as far back at 2001 and placed over 50 staff right across the UK and in Eire and Germany are seeking an additional Area Sales Manager to join their Construction and Recycling team. This role which is in effect 100% new business – (treat customers inherited as a gift) is focussed on financing of construction and recycling assets. Transactions are sourced from customers direct or dealers. Additionally you are allowed to engage with specialist lease brokers whose focus is solely on the construction and recycling sector. Our clients average transaction size is £102,000 , average term 44 months their credit appetite is a broad one and this enables them to sell out at slightly higher margins than some the benefit to customers , deals and brokers being that their credit acceptance rate is amongst the best in the sector and of course you can make a high income. Targets are very realistic and reflect the fact that the position is for all intents and purposes as above 100% new business. In your first 6 months in role you will not actually carry a hard number target this is viewed as a period of high activity and of pipeline building for your future. Commission is paid on every deal you close with no hurdle to cross before you start to earn. Once you achieve a certain figure a year end bonus also becomes payable. We are happy to disclose the commission rates that are paid at various different selling out rates , the average selling rate our clients construction and recycling team are achieving currently and also the volume at which point your annual bonus starts to be paid and the amount of this annual bonus AND additional bonuses that are triggered by increased volumes. We will share the above only with applicants that possess the skills outlined below AND that we wish to put forward. Candidate Profile To apply you need to have experience in asset finance sales and a importantly a reasonable record of some success. Your location is immaterial other than you need to live in Southern England or possibly even South Wales. Ideally your experience will encompass some construction and or recycling asset class experience but in reality our client look at any new business hunter with an asset finance background in hard assets. Those with soft asset finance experience are welcome to apply but it is important to make clear that this role is not a flow sales aid role where you almost never see a lessee and spend 99% of your time engaging with dealers and they do the selling not you. You must have some deal closing experience. To succeed in this role you need to willing and able to constantly cold call by phone , send out emails , network into your customers for referrals , physically knock on doors in industrial estates to find opportunities , build relations with dealers sales staff and sales managers and directors and tactically specialist brokers. Typically the greater customer contact you have even if that is operating in partnership with a dealer or a lease broker the more control you have and the more likely you are to succeed. When you have found a deal you need to be able to sit in front of finance controller, head of purchasing or whoever and close the deal preferably at the first meeting to take it off the table.
