to c.£125,000 per annum plus company car, 25% bonus, healthcare and pension

Our client is a North West based consumer finance company renowned for its innovative range of consumer lending products, its first class culture and its excellent working environment.

As it continues to expand it requires a high quality finance professional to manage the finance function and work alongside the CEO to help drive the ongoing expansion of the company with good financial insight, analysis and data production.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits and external bank funder relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding the company’s financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management and will ideally have experience of working within a small bank, finance company, consumer finance business or another similar regulated lending institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the entrepreneurial CEO to drive the commercial performance of the business with the use of good financial analysis, data and modelling.
  • Support the financial planning and analysis efforts.
  • Lead a small, experienced team of finance professionals to ensure the timely and accurate production of audits, forecasting, financial reports etc.
  • Oversee cashflow, cash management, working capital, and company audits.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions.
  • Manage relationships with external banks who provide funding.

Qualifications:

  • Strong finance-based analytical skills.
  • Excellent commercial skills and able to work in a close-knit, dynamic and challenging leadership team.
  • Experience gained in consumer finance, banking, motor finance or another similar financial services or lending institution.
  • A relevant accountancy qualification.
