Jobs Insurance Manager – Slough Office-based Share My client is a specialist provider of vehicle finance, rental, and insurance products. They are looking for an Insurance Manager to join their team. PURPOSE SUMMARY: The Insurance and VAP Manager will manage the product development, management of third-party insurers / product owners and ensure profitability of all VAP’s sold with, or separate to, a finance deal. My client currently offers a suite of insured and non-insured products, as well as car insurance and other value add propositions with more in development. The Insurance and VAP Manager will liaise regularly with Compliance, Marketing and Sales to ensure all commercial opportunities are maximized. Products can be company branded, but also, we provide a range of products to our OEM partners, branded as their product. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure products meet all consumer duty, FCA requirements and are of a high quality, providing value to consumers Own and manage the product portfolio of all VAP’s sold through the business Work closely within the Marketing team to ensure products are promoted centrally and within the retailer environment Liaise with the Sales Teams to ensure opportunities are maximized and profitability targets are met Work with the insurers, product providers and relevant third parties to ensure contractual commitments are being met Develop, in line with business requirements, new products Design (in conjunction with IT) an insurance dashboard to report on overall performance and profitability by product Present this performance to relevant business areas when required Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require Some of the products the business currently offers: GAP Insurance SMART Insurance Tyre and Alloy Insurance Ceramic Paint Protection MOT Cover Breakdown Cover Extended Warranties Subscription based Car Insurance Drive-away Insurance This is an office-based role 3 days per week in Slough with travel required from time to time, to retailers or third-party companies within the UK. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS: Previous VAP and/or insurance experience essential PC literate – good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong organizational/time management skills Strong attention to detail Capable of working on multiple projects at once and managing key stakeholders Please contact Vicky on vicky@thcrecruitment.co.uk for more information.
