Business Development Director – Vendor – Location flexible – 2855

Salary range £65,000 to £85,000 plus bonus potential of up to 75% of salary plus company car / allowance plus excellent benefits.

Our client one of the UK’s leading asset financiers and for whom we have successfully filled a wide range of roles are seeking a Business Development Director to take join their fast expanding vendor team.

Your role will encompass the following:

  • Identifying and building relationships with new vendors and manufacturers , this can be across a wide range of sectors eg transport , manufacturing , construction , healthcare etc
  • Management and further development of existing vendor relationships.
  • Working with end user customers in a direct capacity.
  • Working closely with the SLT to create and execute against an ambitious growth strategy.
  • Targets are very realistic reflecting the strong new business nature of the role in terms of volume and our clients go to market with a highly competitive rating structure and service proposition We will be happy to disclose the 24/25 volume and margin target with suitably qualified applicants.

Candidate Profile

This is a national role and as such our client are flexible on your location providing you are willing to travel nationally.

We are seeking applications only from those with the following experience and skills:

  • Previous successful experience of winning new vendor and manufacturer relationships.
  • Experience of managing and developing existing vendor and manufacturer relationships.
  • A successful track record in asset finance sales encompassing both vendor and direct routes to market.
  • Well developed problem solving and credit analysis skills.
  • The ability to build strong longstanding relationships and manage workload effectively
  • Whilst the position does not have any direct reports day one it has the potential to in the future as such any experience of mentoring or leading sales staff would be advantageous but to be clear this role is primarily one of new vendor development it is not a sales leader position.
