Appointments Simply makes two new board appointments Published: 26th June 2019 Share Simply, the SME funder, has appointed two new board members as part of its ambitious growth strategy. Richard Chadwick joins Simply as chief risk office to run the credit, collections and risk functions. He spent seven years at Close Brothers, most recently as commercial head of underwriting and prior to that, he spent eight years at PwC where he qualified as a chartered accountant. Roumena Goscomb is promoted to the board as general counsel to oversee all legal and hr matters. She joined Simply 16 months ago and previously worked as legal counsel at a number of institutions, after spending the first 10 years of her career at Slaughter and May. Their roles will support continued growth at Simply, which entered the Asset Finance 50 UK league table in 2019 after just two years trading. Mike Randall, CEO of Simply, said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard and Roumena to the Simply board. “The experience they bring comes at a key period in our history. Their expertise and guidance will be invaluable as we expand organically and work hard to ensure that small and medium-sized businesses across the UK get the funding they need to reach their potential and prosper in the future.” Simply was founded in 2017 by a team of industry specialists, in response to the need for innovation and disruption in the asset finance sector. It has attracted more than 2,000 customers across a variety sectors including manufacturing, construction, transport and recycling. It is majority owned by a Cabot Square Capital fund.
