Simply Cup 2025: Bigger, better, all for a vital cause!

Mark your calendars! The Simply Cup Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament returns on Thursday, January 9, 2025, bringing the asset finance industry together for an extraordinary day of competition, camaraderie, and charity. Hosted at Powerleague Battersea, this third annual event promises to surpass expectations as it raises critical funds for Cancer Research UK (CRUK).

Building on the overwhelming success of previous tournaments, this year’s Simply Cup is set to be the largest yet, with 30 teams from 27 businesses taking to the field in a spirited display of teamwork and sportsmanship. The event is not only a highlight on the asset finance calendar but also a powerful statement of solidarity for a cause that touches so many lives.

What to expect at Simply Cup 2025

This year’s tournament will bring together some of the biggest names in the industry, including Simply, which is fielding two teams, as well as newcomers like United Trust Bank, Portman Finance, InterBay Asset Finance, Stephens and Haydock and two squads of the inspiring Leasing Lionesses. The participation of so many businesses highlights the industry’s growing commitment to making a difference both on and off the pitch.

Headline sponsor Acquis is lending its generous support to make the tournament a standout event. Meanwhile, Cynergy Business Finance has stepped up to sponsor the raffle prize—a £1,000 voucher that attendees won’t want to miss. The raffle and an exciting Crossbar Challenge are set to keep spirits high, with all proceeds contributing to CRUK.
