Equipment Finance News Shire Leasing signs deal with IT distributor Westcoast Published: 22nd July 2015 Share Independent funding house Shire Leasing, which specialises in the SME sector, has announced a partnership with IT distributor Westcoast to offer additional financial services to their mobile solutions resellers, as demand for mobile services accelerates. Westcoast was founded in 1984 and has a product portfolio spanning the spectrum ranging from desktop PC and notebook products through to high end server solutions, network products, printers, peripherals, spare part, consumables and accessories. The group sells to resellers, retailers and dealers in the UK and Ireland providing creative credit, marketing and logistics services to over 5,000 customers. Darren Seward, head of mobile at Westcoast said: “Many businesses identify a lack of funding as a barrier to rolling out the best mobile solutions, so we are pleased to be working with Shire Leasing to support our resellers. Resellers can include most elements of the deal in the lease including the device, software and services. Shire Leasing’s online solution provides resellers with a completely automated system that covers everything from online approval to e-signature on leasing documents.” “Analysts estimate that enterprises spend 35% of their telecom and networking budget on mobility. Mobility is no longer at the fringe of discussions, instead it has become central to the way enterprises conduct business”, says Vincenzo Scalzone, sales director of Shire Leasing. “By supporting Westcoast’s resellers, Shire Leasing will provide flexible financing solutions to businesses allowing them to benefit from the opportunity of greater productivity, information access and cost savings. In the mobility world, this will mean offering a quick and responsive service that keeps up to date with the fast and ever-changing nature of the industry,” Scalzone added.
