Leasing Professionals Paragon wins top prize for chosen charities at AFPA Trust Big Quiz Published: 24th May 2024 Share Congratulations to Paragon Bank’s quizzing team for taking first place in the 2024 AFPA Trust Big Quiz, winning £11,000 for their charities – Make-A-Wish UK and Stepping Stones DS – along with the Rivermore Asset Finance donated AFPA Trust Big Quiz Trophy. “Congratulations to Paragon from AFPA Trust! They quizzed to perfection scoring high in almost every round but secured victory in the rounds where bonuses or WipeOUTs mattered,” said Robert Taylor, AFPA Trust Chair. “Defending champions InterBay gave everything but in the end secured third place and £1,000 for their chosen charity Depaul. Novuna Business Finance looked to be winners throughout and led Paragon by two points heading into the final round – Novuna received a cheque for £3,000 for The British Heart Foundation plus a bonus £250 for being a Bronze AFPA Trust Charity Partner, but the biggest winners of the evening are Make-A-Wish UK and Stepping Stones DS who will receive £10,000 first prize plus a bonus £1,000 as Paragon are an AFPA Trust Gold partner.” Matt Bass, Head of Specialist Lending – SME Lending at Paragon commented: “Wow, what an evening! Paragon winning the top prize at the AFPA Big Quiz of £11,000 is amazing and will be an enormous boost to our chosen charities, Make-A-Wish UK, a children’s charity granting wishes to seriously ill children, and Stepping Stones DS, a charity that supports children and young people with Down’s syndrome to fulfil their potential. More dreams can now come true for critically ill children and more activities can be paid for to help develop key life skills for children with Down’s syndrome.” Alfa won the Heads and Tails game with £1,000 going to their chosen charity, Change Please. The AFPA Trust host the Big Quiz to generate a buzz and competitive spirit within the asset finance industry. Taylor commented, “What an evening of friendly quizzing competition! AFPA Trust are delighted to have donated £16,250 to five fabulous charities. Thank you to all that took part and to our fabulous quiz master Paul Mayne. “Thanks also to Big Quiz Sponsors LTi Technology Solutions, InterBay Asset Finance, Rivermore Asset Finance and NETSOL, and a huge thank you to all firms that have joined AFPA Trust’s Charity Partner Scheme which is allowing AFPA to donate even more to a wide range of charities.” For details of AFPA Trust’s next event – Summer Drinks at Home House on 3rd July – please visit https://www.afpatrust.com.
