Since working with Paragon Bank in 2020, JOB Logistics has purchased three waste tipping vehicles and a weighbridge through asset finance, totalling £95,000. These new assets have enabled the business to branch out to new areas in the Northwest and take on larger contracts, helping to grow the business. The new recycling centre that opened in October 2023 has enabled the firm to expand the range of services it offers to clients across Blackpool and Fylde Coast. After purchasing the first two waste tippers, which enabled JOB Logistics to take on more contracts, it soon outgrew its premises and was able to look for a new site to set up its recycling centre in 2022. Once finding a site, Paragon’s SME Lending team was able to organise funding for a new weighbridge for the facility and a third waste tipping vehicle. The overall expansion of the company has enabled JOB Logistics to create four new roles within the team, including a weighbridge attendant, a load inspector, a new driver, and a placement position for a recycling operative, with potential to grow the team as the year progresses. The company is owned and run by Managing Director, Jamie Baguley, and was formed in 2012. The relationship with Paragon is led by Joe Blanthorn, Regional Sales Manager in the Vendor Team in the SME Lending division. Jamie Baguley, Managing Director of Job Logistics commented: “It’s been great to work with Paragon, which has supported us to acquire these new assets and therefore grow our business, opening new premises and hiring more staff. “We were particularly pleased that Joe and the Paragon team were happy to help us in financing our new weighbridge. This is an unusual asset, so we were really glad that Paragon could fund this.” Joe Blanthorn, Regional Sales Manager at Paragon Bank added: “Although a weighbridge is not an asset that we frequently fund, we want to help SME businesses reach their goals and this piece of equipment was integral to the expansion of JOB Logistics. We were delighted that we could fund it and support the company. “It’s been a pleasure to see JOB Logistics expand the business and watch how it has grown over the years. We’re looking forward to continuing working with Jamie and the team as the business goes from strength to strength.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Asset Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories Corporate Member NewsTime Finance reports 14 consecutive quarters of growth Corporate Member NewsUnited Trust Bank announces investment by Warburg Pincus NewsAFC initiative to rank UK’s top specialist business asset finance brokers Asset Finance
