John Deere Financial has been named the best company to work for in Luxembourg by the Great Place To Work Institute.

The Great Place to Work Institute conducts research and recognizes leading workplaces in more than 45 countries. Being certified by the Great Place To Work Institute requires a 59-question all employee survey.

Nils Jæger, vice president, International Finance Region 2 of John Deere Financial said: “Our entire team feels so incredibly proud. Only six companies received the award this year, and we ranked No.1 in the country.

Stefan Scholl, the unit’s team enrichment ambassador and Corinna Hofmann, manager human resources added: “Our 70 employees in Luxembourg made a clear statement: We are a Great Place To Work.

Overall pride in product

This goes along with the overall pride of the Luxembourg employees, as one stated: “I really like John Deere – the brand, the image, and the way that we feed the world. When I see a John Deere machine in the field or on the street, it makes me proud.”

Bret Thomas, executive vice president global operations, and Pat Mack, senior vice president international finance, from the global John Deere Financial Division participated in the award ceremony on February 27 and congratulated Nils Jæger, Joseph Barrett, managing director John Deere Bank, and the entire Luxembourg team on this accomplishment.

John Deere Financial’s success in Europe is no flash in the pan however.

For the eighth consecutive year the lender’s parent, Deere & Company, has been included on Ethisphere Institute’s “World’s Most Ethical Companies” list. The research-based Ethisphere Institute is dedicated to the creation, advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability.

Deere was among 144 companies honoured last month in the US after evaluations were conducted of each company’s corporate ethics and compliance program; overall reputation, leadership and innovation; corporate governance; corporate citizenship and responsibility; and company culture concerning ethics.

Timothy Erblich, chief executive officer of Ethisphere, said, “The entire community of World’s Most Ethical Companies believe that customers, employees, investors and regulators place a high premium on trust and that ethics and good governance are key in earning it. Deere & Company joins an exclusive community committed to driving performance through leading business practices.”

The Ethisphere Institute reported that honorees promote ethical business standards and practices internally that exceed legal compliance minimums and shape future industry standards. The list was made final after Ethisphere reviewed and analyzed hundreds of nominations from around the globe. Assessment of company data that was then verified by careful independent research resulted in an Ethics Quotient for each company. Those companies with the highest EQ scores in each industry were named to the final list. Companies from 22 countries and 41 industries were represented on this year’s list.
