Nick Brownrigg named as new UK CEO of Alphabet

Industry veteran Nick Brownrigg has been named as the new chief executive officer at business mobility and leasing company Alphabet UK, joining on 1 July 2016 from the Dubai-based ALJ Group.

He succeeds Richard Schooling, whose appointment to the new role of chief commercial officer for Alphabet International, based in Munich, was announced earlier this week.

Prior to joining Alphabet, Brownrigg was CEO for pre-owned vehicles at Abdul Latif Jameel (AJL), and was responsible for pioneering a business plan across the group designed to establish a major domestic and international presence in the used vehicle retail sector.

He has significant leadership experience in the UK and international leasing industry, having previously fulfilled a number of UK, pan-European and global CEO positions for Ally Financial. (previously GMAC) and Masterlease Group.

In addition, Brownrigg is a former managing director of Interleasing UK Limited and also holds a non executive director position at Masterlease Polska, the leading auto fleet management business in Poland.

The UK is the largest and most established Alphabet market, founded in 1997 and providing customers with funding, fleet management and mobility services for over 144,000 cars and light commercial vehicles.
