Appointments New valuation expert for Black Book team Published: 12th March 2018 Share Automotive data expert cap hpi has appointed Jeremy Yea as editor of its Black Book used car valuation product. Yea joins the business from a senior remarketing role at ALD Automotive and has more than 22 years of experience in the motor trade. Derren Martin, head of current valuations at cap hpi, said: “Jeremy brings a wealth of experience to the team. We are ramping up our expertise and analysis capability to provide enhanced editorial insight and remarketing consultancy. Our focus remains on combining industry-leading data and expert insight to help our customers make smarter automotive decisions.” The company recently announced a restructure of its Black Book team to provide a greater range of consultancy services, while the team of 11 will continue to manage daily adjustments to Black Book Live used car data and support customers with bespoke insight and support. The Black Book team includes a mix of industry experts and data analysts that produce daily updates to vehicle valuations. It analyses more than 2 million transactional data records from a broad range of the wholesale market alongside more than 5 million retail adverts each year.
