Appointments New UK head of group brands appointed at BMW Financial Services Published: 24th July 2015 Share BMW Group Financial Services has appointed Preston Rogers, formerly of BMW Group Financial Services South Africa, to the role of general manager, group brands, in the UK. Rogers, who has taken over the seat recently vacated by Spencer Halil who has become director of ALPHERA Financial Services, will be responsible for the continued roll-out of a significant new business model to BMW and MINI retailers. A graduate of both business and marketing degrees in Johannesburg, Rogers has been with BMW Group for more than 12 years. Starting his career as a credit analyst in South Africa, Rogers has spent time in strategy, sales and marketing roles, including an expat assignment in pricing with ALPHERA Financial Services in the UK. Most recently, he held the post of general manager, sales and marketing, for BMW Group Financial Services South Africa. Bob Jordan, sales and marketing director of BMW Group Financial Services, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Preston back to the UK at what is an incredibly exciting time for our financial services business. Working with retailers across our BMW, MINI and Motorrad products, Preston will play a pivotal role in ensuring we are able to deliver an even more effective and positive experience for all of our customers.” Rogers added: “I’m looking forward to being back in the UK and working alongside the team here to continue the roll-out of our innovative approach to doing business. The UK automotive retail sector is in a positive place right now, and we want to do everything we can to ensure our retailers are able to benefit from the retention and business growth opportunities that transparency and treating the customer fairly can bring.” Rogers will commence his new role on Monday, 3rd August, 2015.
