João Miguel Leandro has been appointed chief executive officer of RCI Bank and Services, succeeding Bruno Kintzinger, who is retiring.

Leandro (pictured) reports to Clotilde Delbos, Groupe Renault chief financial officer and chairman of the board of directors at RCI Bank and Services. He will also become a member of the management committee of Groupe Renault.

He holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, and worked at consulting firms in the US, first at Bain & Company and then at McKinsey & Company before he joined Banco Mais Group, specialising in car financing, as chief executive officer for Hungary, after which he launched the business in Slovakia.

In 2008, he oversaw the launch of a new bank in Hungary, Banco Primus, specialising in car financing before joining Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance group as chief executive officer of Banco Credibom, the leading car finance company in Portugal.

After joining the group executive committee of Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance (CA CF), he was appointed deputy chief executive officer in 2017, where he supervised the creation of the CA CF joint venture with Bankia in Spain and the acquisition of Profamily in Italy, while jointly leading the CA CF 2020 strategic plan.

Delbos said: “I would like to thank Bruno Kintzinger for his entire career at Groupe Renault, and in particular at RCI Bank and Services. He contributed significantly to the group’s performance throughout his career, and notably since April 2018 as the head of RCI Bank and Services.

“João Miguel Leandro’s expertise in the finance and banking fields in France and abroad, as well as his knowledge of the businesses, offers and services in car financing, are real assets to strengthen RCI Bank and Services’ contribution to the development of the Alliance’s brands.”
