Head of Channel Finance – Europe

£100,000 to £130,000 per annum plus company car, excellent bonus and substantial benefits.

Our client is the European vendor finance subsidiary of a major global financial services business – specialising in innovative financing solutions to support shareholder group businesses, their distribution channels, and their key accounts across Europe.

Target markets include the financing of construction equipment, IT and medical equipment.

The Role:

  • You’ll participate and contribute as part of the Senior Leadership Team to the strategic plan and its execution through designing and developing strategies for sustainable growth. You’ll work collaboratively with other leaders to help their expansion in Europe and create opportunities to support the success of the business.
  • You’ll manage and develop the Channel Business Development team to effectively deliver the asset life cycle financing products across Europe alongside the Group Business Development and Sales teams in the UK and other European countries.
  • You’ll be working with team volume and profitability targets while establishing effective financial planning, reporting and control environment in line with accounting policy, procedures and regulatory principles.
  • You’ll be expected to negotiate and present to vendors and customers at CFO/ CEO levels, working with legal and tax advisors and internal stakeholders to progress financial solutions that meet the vendor’s requirements.

What we’re looking for?

We’re looking for an individual with strong leadership and management skills. Someone able to think strategically and make sound commercial business decisions. A team player who is able to build relationships at all levels and collaborate with, and influence, senior colleagues.

Experience requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of asset finance vendor finance programmes and products, ideally including receivables purchase, invoice discounting and structured asset finance products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working and dealing directly multiple stakeholders including supply chain.
  • Knowledge of credit and/or operations in asset finance.
  • Knowledge of the construction, IT and medical equipment finance markets preferable.
  • Team leadership skills, ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve set objectives.
