Leasing Professionals Haydock Finance culture drives retention Published: 9th August 2024 Share Asset finance specialist, Haydock Finance, has revealed that their strong company culture has played a significant role in staff retention. For over 40 years the business has been supporting the growth of UK SMEs by providing funding for business-critical assets. Based in Blackburn, nearly 25% of the team have been with the company for over five years, while others have been with Haydock for over 10 years. One staff member, Debbie Hallam, recently celebrated 35 years with the business. Debbie is the longest-serving member having joined Haydock straight from school in 1989 as an administrator. Throughout her career progression she has enjoyed roles within sales support, facilities management, and assistant to the executive chairman in 2003 which included HR responsibility. With a new executive team in place in 2019, Debbie became HR & Facilities Manager and following significant company growth, she has since been made Head of HR & Facilities. Debbie commented: “In my long and rewarding career at Haydock, I have had some amazing experiences plus worked with many talented people. Thanks to the support I have received throughout my time here I have always felt confident to step out of my comfort zone and take on new challenges. The 35 years have certainly flown.” John Jenkins, CEO added: “It sounds corny, but Haydock’s strength is its people, and its people are its strength. “Building a culture of collaboration and accountability focussed on the customer is what underpins the excellent service we are known for and has allowed us to drive the growth we have enjoyed in recent years. Creating an atmosphere where our team want to belong and celebrate these milestones is key.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Asset Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories Leasing ProfessionalsBibby Financial Services’ Mike Day and Age UK Leeds unite to spread festive cheer Thought LeadersBespoke pay-per-use procurement to ease NHS financial burden AppointmentsDavide Grasso appointed Stellantis Chief Heritage Officer
