Appointments Françoise Cauvin appointed CEO of Crédit Mutuel Leasing Published: 7th October 2024 Share Crédit Mutuel Leasing, a leading player in the French leasing market, has announced the appointment of Françoise Cauvin as its new Chief Executive Officer. This leadership change comes after Cauvin’s seven-year tenure at Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, where she supported the group’s development and transformation strategies. She takes over from Pierre Salzman, who is now set to lead CIC Nord Ouest as its new CEO. In her new role, Cauvin will be tasked with expanding Crédit Mutuel Leasing’s presence in the mobility market and strengthening its operations across Europe. Her leadership will focus on accelerating the company’s environmental and societal transformation, aligning with the goals of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale’s 2024-2027 strategic plan, Ensemble Performa. Cauvin emphasized her commitment to the company’s strategic plan: “With a team of 750 employees, I will focus on implementing the new orientations of the 2024-2027 strategic plan and continuing to develop the group’s leasing activities for the benefit of its customers, partners and the group’s banking networks.” Françoise Cauvin’s impressive career trajectory began at CIC Capital Privé in 2007 as Secretary General in charge of investor relations and responsible for the administrative and financial management of the management company. In 2017, she joined the Caisse Fédérale de Crédit Mutuel to coordinate the activities of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale group and to implement its first group strategic plan. Cauvin became Chief of Staff to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale in 2019, and was promoted, two years later, to head the Strategic Coordination Department, a member of the General Management Committee As CEO of Crédit Mutuel Leasing, as well as Managing Director of CM-CIC Leasing Solutions and Bail Actéa. Cauvin will oversee the subsidiary’s role in the leasing and financial leasing markets, which includes the financing of professional equipment and movable capital goods. The company has also made strides in the mobility sector, with its acquisition of a majority stake in Roulenloc, a car leasing marketplace, in October 2023. This strategic move aligns with its goals to deepen its footprint in vehicle leasing solutions. Cauvin succeeds Pierre Salzman, who led Crédit Mutuel Leasing for four years. Salzman, now Chief Executive Officer of CIC Nord Ouest, leaves a legacy of strong growth. Salzman’s contributions were acknowledged by Claude Koestner, Deputy CEO of CIC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crédit Mutuel Leasing: “We are very pleased to entrust the responsibility of Crédit Mutuel Leasing to Françoise Cauvin. Her experience in the group will enable her, with the support of all the teams, to steer the development of Crédit Mutuel Leasing in France and Europe. We also thank Pierre Salzman for his commitment and leadership over the past four years.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Asset Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories AppointmentsBritish Business Bank appoints Co-Chief Banking Officers Corporate Member AppointmentsTime Finance appoints Sophie Aitken to asset finance team AppointmentsArbuthnot Commercial ABL announces new senior hire
