Appointments Christoffer Malmer appointed CFO of SEB Published: 1st October 2024 Share Christoffer Malmer, currently Head of SEB Embedded, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Group Executive Committee of SEB. “I am pleased to announce that Christoffer Malmer will assume the role as CFO. He has vast experience of our business, great understanding of the banking sector and in-depth knowledge of the technological development within the industry”, said Johan Torgeby, President and CEO of SEB. Christoffer Malmer is currently responsible for SEB’s business unit SEB Embedded that integrates financial services into non-financial products or services, and was prior to that Head of SEBx, a unit within SEB that explores new technologies and new business models. Christoffer Malmer has also held the positions Co-Head of the Corporate & Private Customers Division and Head of the Wealth Management Division. Malmer was a member of the Group Executive Committee 2014-18. Before joining SEB, Christoffer Malmer worked in equity research, covering European banks at Goldman Sachs in London between 2000 and 2009. From 2007, he was Managing Director and Head of European Financials Research. Christoffer Malmer will assume his new position on 1st October, 2024. He succeeds Masih Yazdi whose decision to leave the CFO position at SEB was announced on 19th September 2024. The process to find a replacement for Christoffer Malmer at SEB Embedded has been initiated.
