On October 24, 2024, Ayvens took a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive and diverse workplace by signing the L’Autre Cercle charter. This move reaffirms Ayvens’ commitment to promoting diversity and preventing discrimination within its organization.

L’Autre Cercle, established in 1997, is the leading non-profit organization focused on LGBTQIA+ issues in the workplace. In 2013, the organization launched the Engagement Charter, offering concrete actions for employers aiming to integrate LGBTQIA+ concerns into their diversity and anti-discrimination policies. By signing this charter, Ayvens has committed to ensuring that its LGBTQIA+ employees feel welcomed and valued, reflecting the company’s dedication to diversity, inclusion, and a non-discriminatory work environment for all, regardless of identity or sexual orientation.

Ayvens has pledged to implement dedicated actions over the next three years as part of its commitment to the charter. These actions include:

  • Creating an inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ employees.
  • Ensuring equal rights and treatment for all employees, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Supporting employees who have experienced discrimination in the workplace.
  • Measuring progress and sharing best practices to improve the overall work environment.

These commitments are already reflected in Ayvens’ key Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, which focus on:

  • Ensuring diverse and inclusive team composition that reflects the world around us. This includes setting diversity targets for top positions and succession planning and using diverse recruitment panels to avoid bias.
  • Establishing inclusive ways of working where everyone feels they belong. This includes implementing a global DE&I policy, enforcing zero-discrimination across the organisation, and maintaining governance structures to support these ambitions, such as the Pride & Allies Employee Resource Group, sponsors, and the ESG Board.
  • Spreading best-in-class knowledge to raise awareness about the issues faced by LGBTQIA+ colleagues. This includes mandatory training, fostering a global DE&I community, and organizing knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The Societe Generale group originally signed the charter in 2021 and renewed its commitment alongside Ayvens, Societe Generale Assurances, and Boursorama on October 24, 2024.

Roderick Jorna, Chief People Officer at Ayvens, emphasised the importance of this step, stating, “Ayvens’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy is founded on the concept that we celebrate and benefit from diversity in people and ideas.

“It’s linked to our ambition of ensuring our people can all make the difference in their work at Ayvens. Signing this Charter reflects this ambition and is a clear illustration of our commitment to create more inclusive work environments for our employees.”
