Appointments Aston Barclay appoints new Auction Centre Manager for Wakefield Published: 11th April 2024 Share Aston Barclay has appointed Dean Ashworth as Wakefield’s Auction Centre Manager. With over two decades of experience in the automotive sector, Dean joins from Available Car, where he worked as General Manager. Prior to this, Dean held roles at Marshall Motor Group, Manheim and Inchape, working with brands such as Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen. With a history of driving cultural change and maintaining high levels of brand compliance, Dean is well-versed in training and developing staff to strive for service excellence. His role in leading sales strategy, managing used stock procurement, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards underlines his comprehensive skill set in the automotive industry. His experience also includes the position of Group Buyer for Marshall Motor Group, where Dean was instrumental in sourcing and acquiring premium used Volkswagen and commercial vehicle stock, demonstrating his acute understanding of market conditions and competitor activity. Dean will work alongside the existing Wakefield centre team to further enhance the auction Centre’s operations, continuing the delivery of exceptional value and service to both the team at Wakefield and key customers.
