Arkle hits the summit

Share

On 11th May a determined Arkle Finance team successfully summited Arkle Mountain in the far North-West of Scotland, raising an impressive £14k (and counting) for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Demonstrating their commitment to the Alzheimer’s cause, in unusually high temperatures (21 degrees Celsius) for that part of the Highlands, the 9.5-mile expedition saw the Arkle team climb 2,500 feet across tough terrain.

Daniel Bailey commented, “I’m proud of my twelve colleagues for this achievement. Every person undertook the challenge in good spirits, was highly determined, and supported one another during the tougher moments.

“Several people on the mountain held this cause and the charity close to their hearts, and their determination was obvious. But overall, the group showed commitment and great humour throughout. I look forward to tackling the next challenge in aid of other deserving causes.”

There is still time to show your support for the Arkle team and donate to Alzheimer’s Research UK at the following Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/team/arkleclimbingarkle, where 100% of the donations will go straight to the charity.
