Appointments ALD Automotive makes two new senior appointments as diversification growth continues Published: 28th February 2017 Share ALD Automotive UK has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Anna Woodward as legal and compliance director and Steve Lavery as customer service director (pictured above). The appointments have been made following another record year of growth for ALD which has seen its fleet size increase to over 130,000 vehicles, and coincides with the company moving to a new 40,000 square feet head office in Bristol in December, to accommodate further continued expansion. Mel Dawson, managing director at ALD said: “As a business we’re constantly exploring new opportunities and finding ways to innovate so that we can better meet the changing needs of our customers. Anna and Steve bring with them the expertise and knowledge needed to help us build on our success and drive the business forward.” Confirming ALD’s commitment to compliance within an increasingly regulated market, Anna Woodward, who joined ALD in 2013, has been promoted to legal and compliance director after helping guide the business through a complex period of significant legislative change. Woodward commented: “As mobility is changing so quickly both in the commercial and consumer markets, we are continually evolving our product offering and customer-focused solutions. With a business as agile as ours, ALD is an exciting place to be and the prospect of leading the legal and compliance team is a unique opportunity.” “Anna’s appointment reflects the key importance we place on compliance”, added Dawson. “Her experience, knowledge and skill-set will be crucial in delivering on our commitment to ensuring our customers are treated fairly and that we continue to meet our regulatory obligations.” Highlighting ALD’s objective to become the benchmark for service delivery in the vehicle leasing sector, Steve Lavery joins the company from EE where he spent two years as head of customer experience. Dawson said: “Customer service has always been at the heart of how we operate. Steve will help to provide even greater focus on ensuring we deliver the best experience possible for our customers.” Commenting on his new role, Lavery said: “I am thrilled to be joining an organisation with such an excellent reputation in the sector. ALD has worked extremely hard to develop a unique proposition in terms of service. My role will be to build on those successes and help ALD become even better at delivering great experiences for our customers. “Customers rightly have high expectations and the challenge is to be highly responsive, easy to do business with and deliver great experiences for every customer, every time. The sector is fast becoming a place where customer experience is a key differentiator. Innovation in process and systems is crucial and ALD has the desire, expertise and people to remain at the forefront of service delivery.” Asset Finance Connect Asset Finance Connect brings you news and updates about UK and European auto, equipment and asset finance providers.
