Appointments ALD Automotive makes new senior appointment Published: 17th March 2017 Share ALD Automotive has appointed Gilles Bellemere as deputy chief executive officer. He replaces Pascal Serres, who joins Societe Generale. Bellemere will serve on the general management team as one of two deputy chief executives alongside Tim Albertsen, with Mike Masterson leading the group as chief executive officer. Bellemere joined Societe Generale in 1987 where he held various positions within the retail banking network. In 2001, he joined ALD Automotive France as director of operations and became its deputy chief executive officer in 2006. Since 2014, Bellemere has been regional director of the Societe Generale French retail banking network. Asset Finance International recently reported that ALD, the operational leasing and fleet management arm of Societe Generale, is set to add 450,000 vehicles to its fleet by 2019 after strong growth last year. By the end of 2016, the company managed a total of nearly 1.38 million vehicles and has annual fleet growth ambitions of 8-10% for the next year three years. This could take the fleet size to more than 1.83 million and consolidate its position as one the world’s biggest vehicle and fleet management providers.
