California-based Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has announced long term lease agreements with Air Austral for two new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Both aircraft are from ALC’s order book with Boeing and are scheduled to deliver in the fall of 2016.

“We are delighted to lease two more new 777-300ERs to Air Austral, a long-time customer of ALC. Our management team has a great relationship with Air Austral and we are happy to support the renewal of their twin-aisle fleet with the addition of these modern, fuel-efficient aircraft,” said Marc Baer, executive vice president of ALC.

Air Austral is a French regional airline based on the island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean.

Earlier this month ALC delivered one new Boeing 777-300ER to Emirates Airline, and one Airbus A321-200 (MSN 2270) to Spanish-based airline Iberia.

“The strength of our order book combined with our ability to identify and execute aircraft acquisitions will drive long term growth at ALC. We are very pleased to see this strategy unfold as we deliver this 777-300ER to our long term customer Emirates, and also this A321-200 to our new customer Iberia,” said Gregory B. Willis, senior vice president and CFO of ALC.
