Leasing Professionals AFPA Trust’s annual Christmas drinks return in new venue! Published: 4th November 2024 Share The AFPA Trust is once again inviting professionals from the asset finance and leasing sector to celebrate the festive season at its annual Christmas Networking & Charity Drinks. This year’s gathering will take place at Langan’s Private Members Club in Mayfair, London, from 1:00pm to 4:30pm on December 4th, promising an afternoon of meaningful connections and charity support in a relaxed, festive setting. This annual event offers industry professionals a chance to catch up and forge new connections in an informal atmosphere. Attendees are invited to enjoy drinks and engage with like-minded members of the asset finance community in the elegant surroundings of Langan’s, a new venue for the gathering. Tickets for the event are available now, with proceeds benefitting The Ambulance Staff Charity, an organisation dedicated to supporting the mental, physical, and financial wellbeing of the UK’s ambulance personnel, their families, and volunteer responders. AFPA Trust members can secure tickets for £60, while non-members can join the festivities for £90, which includes a one-year membership with the AFPA Trust. Supporting The Ambulance Staff Charity The Ambulance Staff Charity, which provides essential services for the UK’s ambulance community, is the chosen charity for this year’s event. Karl Demian, CEO of The Ambulance Staff Charity, expressed excitement about the collaboration: “We are delighted to be the nominated charity for the AFPA Trust’s Christmas Networking event in December. This is a great opportunity for us as a charity to raise our awareness as well as much needed funds to provide vital services to support the mental, physical and financial wellbeing of the UK’s ambulance community.” The charity supports over 70,000 active ambulance personnel, retirees, volunteers and their families, providing services such as mental health counselling, physical rehabilitation, and financial assistance. According to its 2022/23 Impact Report, the charity provided more than 3,200 hours of counselling last year, supporting 882 ambulance personnel, with 85% of beneficiaries reporting improved wellbeing. The organisation’s programmes help reduce symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression among those working in high-stress, lifesaving roles. A highlight of the evening’s charity efforts will be an auction for a cricket bat signed by England stars Ben Stokes, Jimmy Anderson, and Joe Root. Proceeds from the auction will go directly to supporting The Ambulance Staff Charity’s mission. Join the festivities For those in the asset finance and leasing industry, the AFPA Trust Christmas Networking & Charity Drinks offers a valuable chance to connect and give back.
