AFC Summer Awards: Recognising outstanding personal achievement in the asset finance industry

Recognising the people and organisations that are part of the asset, auto and equipment finance industries, the Asset Finance Connect Summer Awards will be held on 9th July 2024 at City Central within the grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company in London, book your table now.

With the closing date for award nominations drawing near, all entries must be submitted by Friday 12th April via the AFC Summer Awards website.

Celebrating personal achievement in the industry is the AFC Outstanding Achievement Award 2024, sponsored by Alfa, where a team or individual has been recognised by its organisation or by its industry partners for outstanding success in some aspect of their work during the past year. This award provides a unique opportunity for an organisation to recognise the star performers in their business or for suppliers to recognise talent in the organisations they work with.

Winner of the AFC Outstanding Achievement Award 2023 was Louise McIntosh, Head of Asset Finance Operations at United Trust Bank (UTB) for her project management of the implementation of Alfa Start in 2022.

The project was delivered in 21 weeks, from start to finish, which included both the implementation of Alfa Start and the integration with ADP / Lending Metrics / Lexis Nexis for auto-decisions. This was an industry-first to go-live on Alfa Start including middle office functionality.

All of this was achieved against a backdrop of record-breaking lending volumes in UTB’s asset finance business and whilst maintaining industry leading service levels in this area.

Nathan Mollett, Head of Asset Finance at UTB said, “I am delighted that Louise’s successful management of this complex project was recognised with an Outstanding Achievement award as she somehow managed to balance a high-quality service in ‘business as usual’ operations with managing a very ambitious change agenda.”

AFC excellence in technology award 2024 – for a team or individual who has been recognised by its organisation or by its partners for outstanding success in technology during 2023.
AFC social award 2024 – for an individual, team or organisation which has made a substantial contribution to some aspect of managing the social impact of an organisation or the industry on its publics.
Asset Finance Connect CEO of the Year – for a CEO who has made the most noteworthy contribution to their organisation or to the equipment/auto finance industry. Is your CEO inspirational? Nominate them now.
Asset Finance Connect Lifetime Achievement Award – for an individual who has had a career working in auto or equipment finance industry and has made a lifelong contribution either to the businesses in which they have operated and/or to the industry as a whole.

Nominations can be made by the company entering, to nominate teams, individuals or on behalf of an organisation so don’t hesitate to put yourself or others forward!
