AerCap agrees $12.6bn in finance transactions during 2017

Global aircraft leasing company AerCap signed leasing agreements for 230 aircraft during 2017, bringing its total fleet to 1,531 jets.

AerCap serves approximately 200 customers in 80 countries with aircraft fleet solutions and was listed in the annual AFE50 as the largest European aviation asset finance company.

It was placed in 15th place overall in the AFE50, which acts as a definitive review of the European business equipment and car leasing industry.

AerCap is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has its headquarters in Dublin, with offices throughout the world.

During 2017, the business also purchased 58 aircraft, sold 114 aircraft and signed financing transactions for $12.6 billion.

This followed a strong fourth quarter, which saw the company sign lease agreements for 46 aircraft and agree financing transactions for $1.7 billion.
