Innovation Sponsored by Innovation Tomorrow’s Journey and Alfa join forces with a subscription solution for the future Published: 6th June 2022 Share Global asset and automotive finance industry technology provider Alfa and business mobility specialist Tomorrow’s Journey (TJ) have teamed up in a partnership that connects two market leaders in their fields to deliver a new proposition for vehicle subscription and usage-based mobility products. The integration of TJ’s configurable SaaS platform, JRNY, with the class-leading Alfa Systems technology platform will offer a full, end-to-end, enterprise-level solution for captive and independent finance companies. Andrew Denton, CEO of Alfa, said: “TJ have been leading the way in this space for a number of years. For Alfa, partnering with them on this new way of modelling subscription contracts is the logical next step, providing customers with a truly managed service and ourselves with a strategic opportunity that could put both parties at the forefront of the industry. We already have sales opportunities that require both systems – whether that’s an Alfa client looking to onboard subscription, or a TJ client looking for the back-office functions to support their operations.” Chris Kirby (pictured), CEO of Tomorrow’s Journey, said: “In the last 18 months we have helped many traditional and new businesses in the automotive sector to launch and scale usage-based products, and the demand in the market is greater than ever. In the shift from traditional, transactional products like leasing and PCP to membership-based products like subscription, the asset and accounting practices are being underpinned by lease structure. We’re delighted to have partnered with Alfa, who have the leading product in the sector, and we’re excited about the opportunities this brings to our new and existing customers.” Alfa’s annual Hackathon, a core element of its innovation culture, recently provided an opportunity for a team of developers to pursue the integration of the two systems, and subsequently realise the potential for customers to onboard subscription products backed by Alfa Systems. The proof-of-concept exercise progressed well and has been green-lit for production.
