Equipment Leasing and Finance Association holds its 53rd Convention

Last week saw the biggest event in the US leasing and finance industry calendar, when hundreds of delegates met in San Diego, California for the annual conference of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA).

The 53rd convention had as its theme ‘Leading into the Future’. Adam Warner, president Key Equipment Finance and ELFA chairman gave the opening address, while the keynote speech came from General Mike Hayden, former director of the CIA and the National Security Agency.

Other notable speakers were Robert Wescott, president of research specialists Keybridge, and political pundit Charlie Cook. Breakout sessions for delegates covered a wide range of topics, including social media, digital transformation, globalization, alternative finance, expansion internationally and tax issues. The event saw a number of announcements from both ELFA and the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation, which is marking its 25th anniversary.
