Equipment Finance News Bibby Financial Services launches “red cushion” TV ad campaign Published: 9th May 2014 Share Bibby Financial Services (BFS) is launching a new TV ad campaign to promote the benefits of alternative forms of finance, the first independent invoice finance provider to advertise on national television for many years. The company’s “red cushion” advert premiers on Saturday May 10 and will broadcast across the Sky network for four weeks. It highlights three typical business types using this form of finance, showing the support on offer to SMEs which is symbolised by the cushion. The advert is shot in black and white and shows office and construction scenes, with the only splash of colour being the bright red cushion highlighted in each scenario. The voiceover points out that the BFS is offering funding to thousands of businesses at a rate of £2.5m an hour. The company is making the move to the small screen at a time when the role of alternative funding is assuming a greater importance for the UK’s SMEs. David Postings, UK chief executive of BFS said: “This is a significant milestone – not only for Bibby Financial Services – but for the invoice finance industry and it will undoubtedly raise the profile of non-bank lending to businesses.” Postings said: “There’s no denying that the banks play a vital role in the provision of finance to SMEs.
