This milestone marks a significant leap in the EV charging sector, streamlining the process for drivers who can now power up their vehicles with ease using just one card and app. The Octopus Electroverse platform, which launched in the UK before rapidly expanding across Europe, has revolutionised the charging experience. With the integration of 950 charge point brands, including major players like InstaVolt, Osprey, IONITY, and Aral pulse, the platform offers access to approximately 80% of Europe’s public charging network. Drivers can utilise the app, available in 20 languages, to find and use chargers in 40 countries, making route planning and charging more straightforward than ever. Over the past year, Octopus Electroverse has seen its customer base grow by an impressive 180%, reflecting the platform’s increasing popularity and ease of use. Features such as a detailed map, route-planning tools, and in-car support via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have enhanced the user experience. In addition to its consumer-focused offerings, Octopus Electroverse has also expanded its services to businesses with fleets of EVs. This includes paid features such as an online platform and customisable reporting tools, which simplify the management of electric fleets. Zoisa North-Bond, CEO of Octopus Electroverse, highlighted the company’s mission: “We created Electroverse with a clear mission: to make charging electric cars on-the-go as easy as possible. One card and one app – that’s all drivers need to access nearly 850,000 chargers. Our customers love the slick experience and features we’ve rolled out over the years – but we won’t stop here. We’re nearing the 1 million mark and have become the largest consumer electric car charging platform in Europe – and we’re geared up to rapidly accelerate this worldwide.” Octopus Energy Group remains at the forefront of supporting the transition to low carbon transport with its innovative offerings, including Octopus Electric Vehicles – the UK’s largest EV-only leasing business, smart tariffs like ‘Intelligent Octopus Go’, and the first mass-market vehicle-to-grid tariff, Octopus Power Pack.
