IAA-Advisory has appointed four new directors.

IAA is a team of seasoned asset finance professionals who bring a great breadth & depth of experience to the asset finance industry. It also brings an unrivalled network of contacts operating in every aspect of the industry around the globe.

Its experience includes “asset types from major cross border projects to point of sale, consumer and SME; from satellites to submarines to small office equipment and everything in between”.

Stephen Grey is a highly experienced operational and project leader with considerable experience both in full time roles and also in project and consultancy roles, in the UK and internationally.  He has worked with a wide variety of organisations including GE, Warburg Pallas, Abbey, Livework Service Design, BNP Paribas, 1PM and Aldermore.

He brings “a very strong and pragmatic cross functional project and operating ethos to even the most complex of situations”.

Patrick Jelly has a long and notable career to date with his senior positions at GE, AT&T Capital, CIT and latterly at Pitney Bowes where he headed its European operations in addition to the leasing, rental, and payments business.

Jelly has extensive experience of leadership in the workings of an effective “global captive”, and vendor-led asset finance business. He also has considerable expertise in delivering change management & business transformation initiatives, and in total brings over 30 years of industry experience.

Nigel Mcinerny is a qualified accountant and brings over 30-years leasing experience spanning the range from direct providers to structuring firms.  He has gained considerable front line experience from having worked with organisations such as Airlease International, Kleinwort Benson, AT&T Capital, Citibank, New Boston Partners and Babcock & Brown.

Latterly Mcinerny was with HSBC where he was responsible for a wide range of asset finance solutions for both the UK and global clients as well as developing a specialised skill in energy related financing.  He has a deep understanding of the structuring of asset finance transactions as well as a very strong organisational and risk orientated skill base.

Ian Sinclair-Ford is a qualified solicitor who brings to IAA a wealth of direct experience having been involved in the asset finance industry for over 20 years.  He has worked previously as in-house counsel for Alliance & Leicester Commercial Finance as well as Capital Bank plc.  Apart from Sinclair-Ford’s extensive experience in the wider asset finance world he brings a specific skill and interest in the area of data protection and data privacy within the UK and also with the wider European and US contexts.

Lindsay Town IAA Advisory’s CEO (pictured above) said: “These appointments demonstrate the continued growth of IAA-Advisory and its goal to build the wide ranging skill base that is essential in the current environment for the asset finance and leasing industry across all sectors.”

He added: “IAA-Advisory also wishes to announce with considerable regret, the retirement of a long standing director, Chris Storrar.  Chris has had a long and successful career having been admitted as a solicitor in 1977 and founding his own firm in 1983. Chris Joined IAA-Advisory in 2010 and has added his considerable experience and advice to the development of the firm and to many client engagements.  We wish him all the best on his retirement.”
