Lombard expands its Scotland and N.Ireland operation with new appointment

Lombard, the UK’s largest asset finance provider, has recruited Nick Mayberry as head of sales, Scotland and Northern Ireland reporting directly to head of Lombard, Ian Isaac.

Commenting on Mayberry’s appointment Isaac said: “Scotland and Northern Ireland are strong growth areas for us so we are delighted to have someone with Nick’s strong leadership skills and customer focus to head up the team in this key region.”

Mayberry, who was previously at Barclays where he held the position of head of payment operations, UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia, feels that his strong client focus, strategic leadership and problem solving ability are the key strengths that he brings to his role at Lombard.

Commenting on his new position, Mayberry said: “I’m looking forward to getting out and about in the region and to meeting our customers, as well as working closely with my team to extend and support our customer base.

“We have a strong growth agenda in Scotland and we want to work with more businesses which are looking for funding to fulfil their growth aspirations.”

Mayberry, who grew up in Edinburgh lives in the city with his wife Hayley and their two-year old son. Their family will be completed next month by the arrival of their second child. He graduated from St Andrews University with a Master’s degree in economics and in spends his leisure time with his young family, while fitting in the odd round of golf or game of football.
