The Alta Group has launched a new service offering equipment leasing and finance businesses the opportunity to tap into an array of expert asset management services.

Around a dozen companies have signed up to the consultancy’s new ExpertAccess program, which is gaining momentum, Alta Group CEO John C. Deane announced.

The ExpertAccess team is headed by Carl C. Chrappa, an Alta senior managing director who is accredited by ASA, MRICS and IFA. He is well known in the industry for his experience in equipment trading, appraisals, litigation support, portfolio valuations and equipment management.

Chrappa said companies participating in ExpertAccess appreciate the breadth and depth of resources available, along with the ability to establish and manage to a budget based on their needs.

“As part of ExpertAccess we can design a program that meets each individual company’s specific tactical and strategic needs, creating a virtual asset management department for a business or augmenting the resources of its existing asset management department,” Chrappa noted.

The program includes opinion letters for current or future equipment value; Fair market value (FMV) letter verification; industry research and data; verbal opinions for bidding purposes; select additional services at discounted fees, including inspections and appraisals, USPAP appraisal reports, remarketing/auction services, market studies, expert witness services and due diligence support.

ExpertAccess has been launched in the US and Canada, and will soon be offered in Europe and Latin America, Alta Group stated.
