Leasing Professionals Paragon quizzing for two charities at the 2024 AFPA Trust Big Quiz Published: 1st May 2024 Share With two teams quizzing at the AFPA Trust Big Quiz, Paragon Bank will be hoping to win £10,000 for their chosen charities – Stepping Stones DS and Make-A-Wish UK. This year’s AFPA Trust Big Quiz will be held on Thursday 23rd May at the prestigious Royal Overseas League Club in Mayfair, London. “The AFPA Trust Quiz is a fantastic evening, thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended last year. Paragon is delighted to support the event again in 2024 and have put together two teams of quizzers from various roles across SME Lending, both teams hoping to do well and win a prize for our two fantastic charities,” commented John Phillipou, Managing Director – SME Lending at Paragon. Paragon Bank has chosen Stepping Stones DS as one of the charities they will be quizzing for. The charity has been supported for several years by John Phillipou and his wife so the Paragon team are thrilled to be quizzing for Stepping Stones DS, which supports children and young people with Down syndrome to fulfil their potential by providing opportunities to be social, have fun and learn. Paragon Bank’s second chosen charity is Make-A-Wish, a charity close to the heart of Paragon as it has supported the grandson of one of the SME Lending team. Around 63,000 children in the UK are eligible for a Wish because they have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Make-A-Wish exists to put those issues to one side by empowering a child with the chance to choose a wish that’s unique to them. The winning team at this year’s AFPA Trust Big Quiz will secure a £10,000 donation for their chosen charity. Second place wins a fantastic £3,000, and third place gets to give an amazing £1,000 to a charity of their choice. And, if the winning team at the 2024 Big Quiz is an AFPA Trust Charity Partner, they will receive a further donation for their chosen charity equal to 50% of their Charity Partner payment – so if the winner is a Gold Charity Partner, they will receive £11,000 to a charity of their choice.
