Appointments Close Brothers Asset Finance strengthens Transport team with new appointment Published: 11th January 2024 Share Close Brothers Asset Finance’s Transport team has announced the appointment of Matt Wheeler to the role of Corporate Sales Manager to drive the team’s ambitious growth plans in the South. Matt brings with him 20 years of asset finance experience gained with some of the UK’s foremost lenders where he provided funding to the UK’s extensive SME and mid-corporate market. Matt stated: “Close Brothers Asset Finance are the largest non-clearing bank asset funders in the UK, and I’m really looking forward to the challenge of the new role. “I’ve already settled in well and there’s a great deal of potential to make the position my own by bringing new customers to the business and promoting the benefits of asset finance to small business owners.” Andrew Buswell, Sales Director, for Close Brothers Asset Finance’s Transport division, said: “We’re delighted to bring someone of Matt’s calibre on board because it demonstrates our continued commitment to the Transport sector and further endorses our ambitious growth plans. “Mid-corporate is a market we believe very strongly in, which is why we have recruited strongly in this area. The team has already made a significant difference for many business owners, who get to work with experts that speak their language. “As the UK economy continues to move along at its current rate, we are looking forward to helping our customers thrive through all economic cycles.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Asset Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories Corporate Member Leasing ProfessionalsEconocom joins AFC as its newest Corporate Member AppointmentsBritish Business Bank appoints Co-Chief Banking Officers Corporate Member AppointmentsTime Finance appoints Sophie Aitken to asset finance team
