Awards Asset Finance Connect Summer Awards set to hit 600 attendees Published: 22nd May 2023 Share Early bird ends on 26th May; less than 10 tables remaining! The second Asset Finance Connect summer awards, which is headline sponsored by Alfa, to be held on July 12th is set to be the largest asset finance awards event ever with just 10 tables left to fill to hit the venue capacity of 600 guests it was announced today. “We’re all set for a great evening’s celebration” said Eva Lindsay head of events at Asset Finance Connect “We’ve booked the band, we’re ordering the awards trophies, and we’ve selected some great food and wines for our guests to enjoy. All we need now is for the good weather to start.” The inaugural Asset Finance Connect event in July 2022, which caught the tail-end of the pandemic was attended by 360 guests, who shrugged off record high temperatures to celebrate with a Pimm’s bar, live band, dancing, a chocolate fountain provided by Propel and the largest summer gathering ever of the great and the good from the asset finance industry. “We are delighted that this year’s event will be almost half as large again, but a little dismayed to realise that we’re going to have to find a bigger venue for our celebrations for next year,” said Edward Peck, founder of Asset Finance Connect. Asset Finance Connect relaunched its awards categories in 2023 resulting in more awards nominations than ever before. Companies were invited to nominate teams and individuals for their extraordinary contributions; employees were invited to recognise their employers as great companies to work for; brokers were asked to recognise great lenders to partner with; and lenders great brokers. Social and environmental awards were added to the category mix too. The highlight of the evening is the lifetime achievement award which was won last year by Paul Jennings, retiring managing director of JCB Finance. Another addition to this year’s awards is the release of the AF50 rankings with awards for the largest lending firms in the country, and the fastest expanding businesses and the much-anticipated top 50 listings of auto and equipment finance firms ranked by outstandings. “Asset Finance Connect summer awards celebrates the industry partnerships that makes the asset finance industry thrive and grow,” said Eva Lindsay “This is a fantastic way to celebrate our many successes as the industry works with its corporate customers to help them manage and thrive despite economic uncertainty; as the industry innovates to help companies transition to net zero; and as the industry itself transforms to become an industry that attracts great young talent driven by purpose and fantastic career opportunities. “This is the industry’s premier party, but one with a serious purpose. Don’t leave it too late to use it to connect with colleagues, celebrate industry partners, and recognise achievement.” Asset Finance Connect Summer Awards takes place at London’s prestigious Hurlingham Club on the evening of July 12th. The event features drinks on the lawns overlooking the croquet lawns and fountain; a three-course meal; dancing; around 20 awards and publication of the AF50 ranking lists.
