The new point-of-sale system was released after just four months’ development time. Craig Judson, operations manager at Codeweavers explained that icon was designed to enable vehicle finance brokers to provide a full range of finance products for their SME clients. He said: “The system has re-defined technology in the UK Broker market, offering an unrivalled level of flexibility, multi-device access and most importantly a great and intuitive customer experience.” The range of features that are delivered include: enhanced access to technical details on vehicles they have selected when compiling a quote to enhance the customer experience; a comparison tool enabling a comparison of finance packages with a click of a button when compiling a quote; and a new ‘Quicker Picker’ vehicle selection tool. Judson added: “Each feature was delivered to Alphabet Partner based upon their users’ feedback to improve their journey within the icon system. Importantly, what it has done is to demonstrate the flexibility of Codeweavers’ technology platforms and the support skills and resources available to Alphabet Partners. Alphabet Partner was formed during 2014 by a team consisting of Gavin Davies, Graham Conway and Richard Chadwick. The three were tasked with creating a “symbiotic partnership arrangement” with an “exclusive elite” group of established brokers in the UK. Davies, who previously held two regional director roles at LeasePlan, at both Network (LeasePlan Group) and also LeasePlan’s corporate client division, brought more than 11 years’ experience in the fleet sector and takes the lead as head of indirect sales at Alphabet. With key initial responsibility to pioneer the broker channel roll-out, Davies worked closely with approved brokers to provide SME organisations with complete mobility solutions. Conway, who was appointed as head of special offer management, also brought nearly a decade of mobility experience from his previous position of head of tactical business at Lex Autolease. As well as further developing service lines and increasing access to Alphabet’s range of integrated mobility solutions, Conway was set to work closely with approved partners across the UK to drive forward the dedicated channel and build strong broker relationships. In addition, Conway has responsibility for securing exclusive campaigns with all vehicle manufacturers and maintaining relationships with dealer groups. Chadwick, who previously spent more than eight years with LeasePlan and Black Horse Finance, works alongside Davies and Conway to ensure the smooth integration of the systems covering the whole broker partner sales lifecycle. Richard Schooling, CEO at Alphabet (pictured above) said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of our first-ever dedicated broker channel. Brokers are a hugely important part of the vehicle rental industry, increasing access to mobility services for thousands of SME organisations nationally. Partnering with a select few highly-experienced and approved broker organisations will allow us to provide a greater number of companies with fully-integrated, fit-for-purpose, mobility services – a key objective for Alphabet.” Asset Finance Connect Asset Finance Connect brings you news and updates about UK and European auto, equipment and asset finance providers.
